The Assistant Property Manager will work independently to oversee daily operations at the property while receiving direct support and guidance from the Regional Manager. This is a single-person site, and the Assistant Property Manager will be the primary on-site representative responsible for maintaining the standards and culture of the organization.
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated professional who can confidently manage all aspects of the property while delivering exceptional service to both residents and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and comfortable working autonomously, while also serving as a key partner to the Regional Manager.
Leasing experience is required—preferably in a Class A community—and a strong “go-getter” attitude is essential. This role is perfect for someone ready to take ownership and lead operations with regional-level support behind them.
Detailed Job Description:
- This role is responsible for the overall operation, and the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a well-managed, well-maintained community.
- Maintain an acceptable and supportive environment for all residents and vendors.
- Process move in and move out accounting.
- Actively involved in collections procedures and legal.
- Manage the renewal process.
- Distribute company or community-issued notices.
- Update and maintain reports so that accurate resident and property statistics are reflected.
- Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative items.
- Responsible for overseeing proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
- Courteous, efficient handling of resident complaints.
- Creatively sell with the ability to provide strategic marketing ideas and plans.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with prospects, residents, co-workers, and vendors.
- Ensure timely response to all communications, including voicemails and emails.
- Work with other property management staff to ensure that turned units are ready for move-ins.
- Utilize excellent problem solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills.
- Deliver top-notch service to help ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention possible.
- Help to create and analyze property marketing efforts.
- Be prepared to fill in where needed in the absence of the Property Manager.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Property Management.
- Working knowledge of multifamily property management practices and processes: Fair Housing laws and regulations, building and grounds maintenance, resident relations, leasing, rent collection, eviction procedures, accounting principles, property safety, and use of property management and accounting software.

- Knowledge of relevant landlord-tenant laws.
