We are pursuing an experienced working Property Groundskeeper to work with a service team and provide grounds support and basic support of the residential maintenance for class A properties.
Summary of Role:
The Regional Property Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces on our properties. The responsibilities for this position focus on activities that keep our grounds aesthetically pleasing and functional. This role will participate in groundskeeping duties for multiple properties. This role reports to the Regional Property Manager and will work as an internal vendor with the Property Managers and Maintenance Supervisors being their internal clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support a selection of properties within the NewCastle portfolio.
- Daily grounds pick up and maintenance.
- Responsible for keeping the community clean and neat, which can include lawncare responsibilities.
- Exterior Maintenance: paint curbs, pressure wash buildings, ensure clean parking lots.
- Support Maintenance team in preparing for and handling snow removal.
- Clean Clubhouse, common areas, and property amenities.
- Swimming Pool upkeep and cleaning.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Maintain inventory and request, through the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager, the purchase of necessary supplies.
- Perform other duties as requested by Maintenance Supervisor /Property Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of outdoor plants and gardening techniques
- Familiarity with landscape design
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery as needed.
- Valid Driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Residential maintenance janitorial/housekeeping/grounds and turn experience is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, taking stairs on occasion, and traverse the property and facilities in all weather conditions.
- Repetitive movements for tasks such as raking.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch.
- Ability to navigate uneven terrain and obstacles.
- Endurance to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, and operating tools and equipment.
- Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
